Here are some tips for contacting your policymakers:

  • Tell them why the Land and Water Conservation is important to you. Give them a few reasons why having clean water and outdoor places are important to you, personally.
  • Ask them to vote to reauthorize and protect the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
  • Be concise, and polite. Remember that your elected officials hear from lots of people every day on all kinds of issues. To be persuasive — share your passion, but be respectful.
