have produced a small book, Stories of Stewardship:
Tales from Wisconsin's Big Backyard,
highlighting several of the special places in Wisconsin protected
by the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund. You are invited to tour
two of these unique, lovely places and meet the people committed
to preserving them. You will also be sent home with your own copy
of this beautiful collection of stories. Mark your calendars—we

Faville Grove
Sanctuary Tour

Come out to the Madison Audubon Society’s
Faville Grove Sanctuary in southeastern Wisconsin for a prairie
walk-and-talk with contributing storytellers David Musolf and Roger
Packard. David and Roger are managing and restoring more than 800
acres of prairie at Faville Grove, where Aldo Leopold once worked
to enhance wildlife habitat on private lands. Come visit the prairie

Chippewa Flowage
Tour

(Limit 20 people, RSVP required)
Take
a boat tour of Sawyer County’s Chippewa
Flowage, one of northern Wisconsin’s biggest and wildest
lakes. We’ll talk with contributing storyteller Doug Kurtzweil
of Couderay Waters Regional Land Trust about the Chippewa Islands
Project, a local grass-roots effort that has successfully preserved
two of the flowage’s most vulnerable islands from development. Read
