Primary Responsibilities
• Coordinate policy work with Policy Director, Vicki Elkin
• Help to bolster support for state, federal, and local policies that are beneficial to land trusts
• Coordinate and implement Yahara Lakes Legacy Project with Clean Wisconsin

Past Jobs & Experience
Mike was in school in Madison for the past five years and has had a variety of professional experiences. During the summer and fall of 2007, he split his time between the Gathering Waters and the River Alliance of Wisconsin. At Gathering Waters, he helped with the Stewardship re-authorization effort, and at the River Alliance, he represented the organization in a contested case involving the Winter Dam in Sawyer County, WI. His other professional experiences have included: a summer associate position at Garvey, McNeil, and McGillivray; an internship in the Environmental Protection Unit at the Wisconsin Department of Justice; and an internship in Governor Doyle's office, among others.
